What I Saw:
Today I saw a real person’s body; brain, heart, and their organs. (**at the Body Works exhibit**) I also went to the Anne Frank house where she was during World War II. The next day, we saw a village where they make peanut oil in a windmill. I went to a wooden shoe factory and got to put on a pair of them.
My Favorite Part of the Day:
My favorite part of the first day was going to the Fantastic Four. I am going to make powers with DNA when I get home. My favorite part of the next day was trying on the wooden shoes. I can’t wait to make my own shoes.
What I Learned Today:
Today I learned that Anne Frank went into hiding in 1942. Anne grew 13 cm while in hiding. They could not flush the toilet because there were people in the warehouse below. They were in hiding for 2 years in a tiny house for 8 people. Anne wanted to be a good writer. On our trip to the windmills, I learned that there used to be 30,000 windmills, but there are now 1,000. I also learned that sheep’s poo stinks. I know how to make cheese. To make 6,000 liters of peanut oil from a windmill, it takes 1 year and in a factory it takes 10 minutes to make the same amount.
