Visiting Lake Malawi

What I Saw:

I went to a beach at Lake Malawi.  From the campsite, I saw Kande Island.  At the beach, I made a big sand castle that was 10 feet tall.  I went swimming in the water.  I also went to a school and met kids in the village.  I went to a witch doctor that did a dance.

My Favorite Part of the Day:

My favorite part of the day was building the big sand castle on the beach.

What I Learned Today:

I learned that Lake Malawi is the second deepest lake in Africa.  I also learned that it is 500 km long and 80 km wide.  The lake has more than 300 types of Cichlids that are only found here.  When I went to the school, I saw lots of kids.  When I get home, I am going to do a community service project to help the school.  They need gym clothes, books, pencils, paper, soccer balls, and clothes.  I am going to talk to Mrs. Riley when I get home to collect things from school to send to Africa.  I got the address to the school.
